Malt whisky Tasting

Malt whiskys from the Speyside region.

We had a very good night and raffle making £162. The best we`ve ever done.

The favourite on the night was the Glenglassaugh followed by the cragganmore.

A big thank you to Claudia for helping out on the night.

The whiskys Tasted were:

Cragganmore 12 year old 40% £26

Mortlach 16 year old flora & fauna 43% £34

Benriach 21 year old Authenticas £57

Linkwood `89 `cask strength` 61% £46

Glenglassaugh 1976 51.9% £50

Checking the colour of the malt against the colour chart. You can tell a lot about a malt just by its colour.

A lot of the pleasure of a malt is derived from the smell.	But be careful, a strong malt ( cask strength ) can anaesthetize your nose.
