Don`t forget our quiz night this Friday 28th November, 8 pm start.
I`ve had a bit of a mare this week, I put the wrong month ( December) on our posters advertising the quiz and on some of the web-sites I`ve put the WRONG day ( Saturday 29th ) Too much homemade wine I think!!
Sorry to anyone for the confusion but it is definitely this Friday. Hope to see you there.

You may have noticed that we`ve been `off air` for a while. Thats because we have changed web-site hosters. Instead of paying £7 a month, we`ve now got hosting for £28 for TWO YEARS! a great saving.
I`ve been a bit busy lately to organise any events but we have a few in the pipeline so keep checking our web-site.

We`ve decided to call a close on Martins hair shave, unfortunately it was hard work chasing some people for the sponsorship money, so we`ve cut our loses and decided to call an end.
Thats the only down side, I cannot believe how much we raised from something so simple ( I mean the hairshave not you Martin !! but there again....) I thought we would maybe raise £500 with the evenings entertainment but hey, we far exceeded that. Wait for the fanfare...we raised a fantastic and unbelievable £1,764.36
Thanks to everyone who came along on the night or supported with donations or gifts and most of all thanks to Martin for being such a sport.

Well we got up at six ready for the Elizabethan market and it was hammering down with rain. After last nights weather forecast which predicted heavy rain all day, we reluctantly decided to not go to the market. The market stall would not have kept our prizes dry, so it may have been a waste of good prizes. We also could not leave the site until 4pm, so if we were soaked to the skin and fed up we would have been stuck there. We also felt that there would not be as many people about.
Sorry to everyone who went along to see our stall.

Had a nice surprise tonight, Julie from up the road came round with some cosmetics sets, lotion sets, body creams, etc that her daughters didn`t want from Christmas/Birthdays, but they are ideal for our tombolas. They will do very nicely for our Elizabethan market tombola, thanks girls. Also had a call from Dave who had a bin bag of cuddley toys that his daughter didn`t want. They also will be great for our tombola. We either put them into our tombola or we give them a gifts to the children who didn`t win anything. Thanks Dave.
If anyone else has anything new that would be suitable for a tombola or raffle prize and you would like to donate, then please let us know. Just click the contact button.

New card for M.S. sufferers
People with multiple sclerosis often need help quickly and find it difficult or embarrassing to explain why.
A discreet new ‘assistance card’ from the MS Society explains that a person has MS,
reassures that it is not infectious and describes everyday situations where help could be given.

A couple of my work colleagues decided to give something up for Lent.
With the money saved they were going to donate it to a charity.
They decided to give it to Multiple Sclerosis, so a big a pat on the back to Mark & Gill.
Gill gave up chocolate and Mark gave up beer for forty days and nights, between them they managed to raise a whopping £50 between them.
I don`t know if was Mark or Gill who saved the most ?!!! but well done to both of them.

Well done Mr & Mrs Sheppard
